If you have lower back pain, your upper part of ear might be stiff. Gently rub or pull to relieve the tension.

There is a therapy called "mimi tsubo diet" in Japan. Mimi means ear and tsubo means acupoints. They use tiny grains to stimulate certain points, usually ...

Have you been to the base gym's sauna room?

I was going to introduce off-base heat rooms, but I found out that the base gym had a sauna room and it was free.

Humidity in a sauna is about 9o%, while in heat rooms it is about 6o%. You can stay longer comfortably in a heat room, yet you sweat a lot.

If you increase your body temperature by 1 degree Celsius, your body metabolism will be increased by 12 % according to a source.

I don't know about a sauna room in the base gym, ...

I thought this is very interesting.

A Japanese man lost a lot of weight for six months or so by recording everything he ate.

There was a calorie chart book so that he could put calorie next to the food he ate. He carried a small notebook and kept recording everything. At the end of the day, he totaled all calorie. There was no restriction on what he ate, just wrote down everything. Once he got used to it, he started thinking how much calorie the food had before eating, choosing less ...

Rachel and I have been going to the gym weekdays at around 1300. If anyone is interested in joining us. We workout in the parent room. Because of our little princesses (both almost 2 months old) we are not always there at 1300, but usually around that time. We try to go Mon-Fri.

I went to the Turbo Kick class, it's alot of fun. It just takes a minute to catch on to the moves. It's a mixture of kickboxing and dance. I am going to try to go every Monday. This upcoming week, I am going to ...

I plan on starting to train for a 10k. I haven't jogged or ran for quite awhile so I'm going to do a 10 week schedule starting on Monday the 1st.
Friday's New Beginner's Yoga at Taiyo Community Center

Hi everyone. There is a new Yoga class at the Taiyo on Friday evenings from 530-700. It's $40 a month or $15 per session for walk ins. I'm going to go tonight and check it out if anyone feels like trying it out. Hope to see some of you there.

There is still Saturday morning Aerobics at the gym and that is FREE. So if you want to only go for one hour and not pay the dough try that one.

Amanda

Also I'll be back at Step Aerobics Monday at the gym.
